North from La Paz

We’re meeting up with a friend at the end of April in La Paz, but we had time on our hands to take a little trip north in company with our friends on Nomi. Brace yourself for All The Photos.

We’ve been so happy to find accessible, awesome hiking almost everywhere we’ve been. Trailheads leading from convenient dinghy landings are everywhere, and they always lead up.

Apparently, it can go for an entire decade in some places in Baja without actual rain. Despite the lack of water, some things manage to grow in the desert..

…and some things, not so much.

We’re trying to finish off some supplies that have been hidden around the boat, before we move off. Here’s T’s introduction to canned fruit cocktail:

We loved the Los Gatos area on the Baja mainland.

We spent a couple of lovely nights tucked in at Agua Verde, as well.

We’ll be heading back south in a few days, having the unusual pleasure of revisiting anchorages along the way. Our time is winding down, but we still have a little cruising left in us.
